Finalizing
The final copy of the story is complete. Presentations are created, and the group decides on how to raise money to print and cover the fees of the book.
Fundraising
The three students organize a school bake sale to cover the costs of making the book. They visit Rotary clubs in Kingston and present their book and ideas, and receive money to print two hundred and fifty copies of The Walk of the World.
Educating
The creators of The Walk of the World read their book and give presentations to students at Polson Park Public School, and speak with younger students about their project. They sell their book at Kingston Art fest and the Skeleton Park Art Fest to raise money on their decided foundation: Plan International, gifts of hope. Copies of their book are sent to the United Nations, Malala and Plan International.
Editing
The name of the book, The Walk of the World is created and the plot is finalized. A rough copy of the book is sketched. Edits are made by teachers, friends and family.
Brainstorming
Brainstorming- the group comes up with a list of issues they want to tackle in their story. They roughly outline a plot, but one much different from the final out come. Sketches and outlines of character are done, some of them based off of friends and family. It is made sure that as many nations as possible are represented.
Inspiration
Kaitlyn, Amelia and Julia are inspired by the United Nations Global goals for Sustainable development, Malala and Emma Watson to take action. They agree to take on a project together.
